A GLIMPSE INTO WHAT WE DO...
is our flagship community service event held yearly on the 2nd Saturday in September. It was birthed out of the desire to go out in the community and draw persons to Christ. Attending Soul Fest allows an individual to experience a day of love, hope, care, and support. Everyone is welcome to attend so they may learn more about local churches and how the church can be of service to them. It is a day loaded with positive entertainment, food, clothing, and toiletries.
SCHOOL SUPPLY GIVEAWAY
Staff workers have expressed the need for school supplies for several students whose families often cannot afford to purchase all of the necessary items needed throughout the school year. Knowing this need, SWAP strives each year to provide backpacks and school supplies to one of the local schools within the Big Bend Area.
WALKER-FORD COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER
One day during the week of spring break, we take a moment to come out to share in, and to provide, a lunch for the Walker Ford Spring Breakers.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
We store an array of supplies such as non-perishable foods,
clothing, household items, cleaning supplies etc., and we supply these items to displaced families in times of emergencies or for returning citizens.
